    Hi,

    We have been testing your recently updated app (together with the required “Bellus3D service” app installation) and we have been obtaining very unexpected results. Out of 9 scan attempts, only 2 finished. For the rest, the app just notified “Reconstruction cancelled” soon after inputting the scan name. For the finished scans, the obtained mesh makes no sense at all.

    The app setup was left with the default values: 270 extended mode, HD enabled, front camera, mesh smoothing (10), and no camera calibration on next scan.

    Anyone having similar issues?

    Hi Eduard,

    One of the most common reason of face reconstruction failed is the camera's calibration is off. Please check On next scan at camera calibration section in Settings. The App should be able to recover the calibration error after the next face scan.

    Another possibility is that your tablet is about to run out of storage. Our App will save some metadata during the scanning for face reconstruction. If the tablet is running out of storage, the face reconstruction will fail. We found that, sometimes, the storage access would be unstable if the disk storage is under 3GB. It seems to be device-dependent and our engineers are looking into it.
